Presenting How to make a video!

This week I was only able to attend at Wednesday and Thursday. Most of our team were at student cruise and thats why didn't attend on Monday. So on Wednesday we met with our team at Sello and planned our final video for the final presentation. We don't know exactly yet how we are going to do the video but it will come up with us when we are starting to work it. I'm constantly thinking ideas that we could use and the theme and I have many thoughts about it. I wonder if I should start writing them down so I might use the ideas in my own videos if we don't use them.

On Thursday we had a lecture by one of our digital couch Arman Nuri about content marketing. I think that is a really big subject for one lecture and it was reduced for few slices and it was good. I have myself learned about content marketing from content marketing course. What I can say about content marketing is that content is king and always remember that content is for people and it is supposed to inform, entertain or educate them.

We also gave a presentation by FTS13 about how to make a video and gave few examples of good advertising videos. Our original presentation would have taken a much longer so we reduced it to few videos. Ilkka agreed to film our presentation and we now have good material for the final video also, us presenting.  Go check our educative video about "How to make a video" through this link! This video is made for maybe few months ago so if we had done it know it would have been a lot better. I can say that we have improved a lot in video making. What I can say that when I'm editing these videos with my team it is a lot easier now when I know where to find how to do that and so on. We have really good team and the teamwork helps to reach good results.

Team spirit from last week!

We also heard about other presentations also about broadcast and presentations. I think for each of these had groups own idea and interest and well each of us have our own opinions of what is the best hing to do. But all teams had good presentations.

Week of inspiration

This week on Monday we had two so inspiring lecture. The other one was by Jaakko Alasaarela (ZEF Solutions Oy). First he told us about him and his life. He was so talented with speaking so I admire that so much. For me the most important learning were that write down your dream: What is your dream? And what is your personal reason? You also should dream big and it helps you to concrete your dream when it is written down. Also when you have a personal reason, you will never give up. He told that also a company should have solid dream and in in his company they have three main value: Love, passion and courage. treat people with love, do things with your best and think that you are able to do it all. Absolutely amazing lecture and such an inspiring stories!

We also had Camilla Tuominen from Emotion Tracker. She was also such an inspire. She told us about feeling and handling them - mastering emotions. And the main thing was why, how and what about feeling, why to feel them and how. So you should recognize your feelings that you can live life the fullest. I also think that in nowadays emotions intelligence is more and more important. Like Camilla said that in the future automatic things do the work that we do now and when that happens there is still jobs, just different. Then our job is to do what machines can't and that is understanding humans for example. You should also recognize what are that you feeling and maybe it is easier when you write them down. When you are aware of your feeling they might not be that bad at all. And how? Just let them feelings come and go and handle them. Write them down and be aware of them and when next time comes, you can change your way to think about them. I personally loved Camilla's speech, it was so inspiring.

Our little reading circle.
Filming action
The team work at this week have been really awesome. We got a task to read theses and first we thought that we are just going to write our thoughts to a word document. But then we thought that it is only three weeks eft of this course and let's do this in our way till the end. So we ended up doing a video!! I'm so happy with our decision because videos are our thing. We did the the whole reading circle about the thesis we read on Tuesday already and actually did the video on that day as well. This time it was easier to do after we have some experience now. I had so much fun filming and editing the video with my group and we also learned about thesis as well (Watch the video to find out what we learned!).We had to do some partner company stuff on Wednesday and thats why we tried to do the video as well on Tuesday. To our partner company we thought about a campaign idea with some social media inspiration and actually end up with the really good one. Now we just have to sell the idea to our partner company emotion tracker and keep our fingers crossed that she would be as excited as we are. Video under:

Once again proud of my team!

On Thursday we had lectures by our digital couches Jabed and Bui. Jabed talked about the SEO and Bui about Freshdesk solution (Check out Freshdesk) and related to that about live chat. I have to say that SEO is not my special field because I really do not get the SEO process but I honestly try my best to improve that skill. Jabed showed SEO pyramid (picture under) and with that I have better picture about SEO. It was also educational to lear about freshdesk since I never heard about it before. Basically it is a customer support program that help companies to answer to customers' questions in a easy way.
This is the SEO pyramid that Jabed showed.

My feelings of the upcoming right now:

A week with law issues

This week has been really intensive. On Monday we started with law issues with lecture by Marjaana Marmo. She talked about what is a binding contract and all the age limits related to that. We talked about a contract when you buy something and your under 18 years old that you can't make too big purchases. Under legal act that under 18 years old's parents can cancel the purchase. I think that parent's should teach their kids about sensible use of money. But that really harsh to think that a parent can cancel the purchase when you have for example earn the money by yourself or got it for a present.

We also got assignment for the week's task to research some law about social media acts and contracts and return policy. So this week were different to FTS13 since we have used creativity in our tasks and now we had to actually think things in theory and found the correct answer. I think it was a lot of work to actually read law and still use common sense. It really was hard and exhausting. But our team managed to do all the task and we learned a lot during doing them.

work work work..
I'm not going to list all the task we had to do since we had so much to do. But we had to do a powerpoint of Internet shopping and right down a few main point about the law in social media and about viral marketing in general. We also got third task to solve some law issues. There were some explanation and we had to find an answer or more likely to resolve the case. So on these tasks we worked on on Tuesday and on Wednesday.

We also went through some things related to our new partner company Emotion Tracker. I'm going to tell that about later when we know more.

On Thursday we did go through all the tasks and more like discussed them through. And yes it was finally so nice to speak Finish. It was a lot easier to use Finish as the task's language because all the law things is really hard to explain even in Finish so in English it would have been really really hard and maybe there would haven't even been enough time. And when we discussed about the task's I really learned from that when we actually had examples and so on. For me it is easier to learn through examples or with doing so this was good that we actually did that. And did you knew that there isn't any law in Finland that is valid for social media acts. There is only different laws that are applicable for that. When there isn't that exact law it is sometimes hard to tel what is right and what is wrong. But for my opinion people still have moral and know what is right and what is wrong.

I hope next week we could use our creativity again afters thus week's there learning. So if so FTS13 might do a video again, maybe ;)

That one day

Hi!

This week has been short for me. I only took part on Thursday of school, when we had lecture by Arto Kuuluvainen talking about sports branding. He works in M3 research A/S. He told a lot of branding in the field of ice hockey. I have to say I am not a number one ice hockey fan but it was still nice to hear about sports branding. The one thing that got stuck in to my mind was the most important income sources for sports. And those are - Media deals, sponsorships, merchandise, ticket sales and new sources (like streaming services and fantasy games). But I am also myself interest in sports branding and all that and I would like to hear or read it more but maybe of different sports.

And my team made a beautiful video while I was in my holiday. You can watch it through this link!
They also did a lot of other work and I got to present it with them. Although I was a little nervous that if I had to explain something and I won't know because I hadn't been in school for whole week. But it went totally fine. And I am so proud of my team FTS13. BTW we have our own YouTube channel now!! Check it out here!

When I was on my holiday I also learned there a lot of different thing. Like they usually say that traveling makes you wiser. Related to this course I learned that in the UK their video advertisement are different. For example Lidl's TV-advertisement were totally different compared to that one which is shown in Finland. And I get that you have to notice your audience and that what works in some country won't work in somewhere else. So what about online content of enterprises. Should they do different medias for each country or does the same work for all. For my opinion you should always consider that to use different medias if the company operates in different countries. And I have to say that in my trip to England I also learned some more English and gained self-confidence of speaking English.

P.S. I am sorry that I don't have any pictures for the reason that I was only for one day at school this week and sadly didn't took any pictures.
